Steve Rand was a Hollywood actor until he was seriously disfigured when he attempted a very dangerous stunt. When he realized his career as an actor was over, Rand went insane and accused everyone involved in the film for what happened to him. Rand took the identity of Atlas, his character's name in the movie, and sought revenge against those he believed were behind his misfortune. He murdered several actors and others involved with the movie before going after its writer Buck Cowan. This led to a confrontation with Jack Russell, Werewolf By Night, and eventually to Rand's death at the hands of Buck Cowan.
