Really cool stuff!
I love the art on ASM583! Nothing like a good shot of webbing in the face! That'll shut you up fast. Wonder if he'd like to visit my mother-in-law with me for Thanksgiving dinner! "About that job of yours. You need to find another one if you are ever going to ---thwip---" Ah, I can only dream.
Mighty Avengers 20 looks like it'll be an issue centering on Tony Stark and how much he's had in messing up the Marvel U over the past 2 years! Word of advice Stark...you don't want to revisit that "Demon in a Bottle" again. Unless Bob Layton does the artwork that is! He is to Iron Man what Kirby was to the Fantastic Four.
New Avengers 48 - More Spidey! My guess is that he'll be hanging out with this group of Avengers in the upcoming months, fugitive or not Bendis loves him and since one of the central figures of the Spidey Braintrust resides here..in this forum, Tom'll keep an eye out for continuity blunders. "Hey it's Peter Parker!" Oops OMD jab!
Secret Invasion 8 - Another 2 page spread of goodness that knocks your skrully socks off. While I'm lovin' the Invasion, I'm more psyched about what's going to happen next in Dark Reign and Dark Avengers. Embrace change...(no, not the $3.99 price point change!) Good things to come in January.
The Twelve #8: I've been reading this all the way through since it first came out. Awesome story, even better artwork. It blows away a certain Dynamic wannabe series by that Marvels guy who works for the distinguished competition. This is a top notch production. Buy the hardcover.
War Machine 1 - If the Sentinels are back, mutants can't be far behind. Please, no Wolverine guest appearances for the first year! I'll give this series a try, especially if Tony Stark has a meltdown after the Invasion wraps up. This issue could tie into Mighty Avengers 48. Who knows what Fraction's gonna do in Invincible Iron Man if Tony tanks it....maybe they can bring back Happy Hogun to fill his shoes (nobody knew their was a backup generator (probably made by Stark himself) in the hospital room after Stark pulled the plug on the poor guy? Mercy!
Ok, so lets the name the artists....
Amazing Spider-Man #583 is pencilled by Barry Kitson. This is a one-off issue. Peter goes on a date. Could she be a redhead? Romita Jr. returns again next issue. (Ok, maybe not a redhead)
Mighty Avengers #20
Khoi Pham is the new regular penciller for Mighty Avengers. He's just recently hit the scene and is my pick for breakout artist next year. (That and a bowl of popcorn while watching old Hogan's Heroes reruns will get you nowhere). Anyways, I like his style.
New Avengers #48
Billy Tan on pencils. Bendis on bass. Breevort on drums. Still haven't found that lead singer yet (wonder what Wacker's up to).
Secret Invasion #8
Leinil Francis Yu has done a great job on this epic series. He's pulled all the plugs on this event. Yu has managed to pull a George Perez just when Marvel fans thought there were no George Perez's left (except George Perez's wife, who I'm sure knows he's still around). If there was anyone who needs to take a break, it's Leinil Yu!
The Twelve #8
Chris Weston is a fantastic artist. I never saw much of his previous work but when I saw his incredible work on this series, I was hooked. He needs to be doing some mainstream stuff. Maybe he get hooked up on the X-Men and replace that guy that keeps tracing all of the adult industry's finest. Honest, he does trace.
War Machine #1
Leonardo Manco returns to an ongoing series at Marvel. Haven't seen much of his work over the years but he sure made a nice impression on me with that Sentinel page!
Thanks for the samplings Tom. You should do this more often!

No T-Bolts Goodness?
No T-Bolts previews?
Well, what we got is still very cool! I can't wait to have the Avengers doing heroic stuff in their own books again. And Wolverine and Spidey are confirmed for NA, it seems. Cool. I hope Ronin stays (Ronin + Spidey banter FTW). And Iron Fist must stay too (because Iron Fist is cool and neeed as much spotlight as possible). I hope the new team is Cage, Wolverine, Captain America (Bucky), Iron Fist, Ronin and Spider-man. It also needs a female character (Bendis failed so far to make me care about Echo...). I would also like to see Cloak & Dagger join them.

If the Mighty Avengers page is supposed to be a flashback to #1 (and judging by the lineup, it looks that way), Wonder Man is wearing the wrong costume.

Thanks Tom!
I always look forward to new preview art. That War Machine page is genuinely frightening and Lenil's pencils are stunning. I second Weston on X-Men!

@ bzoo2000
Looks like that is Cheung on MA#20 (it's at the top of the page ~ i was confused cuz the style seemed to "clean" for Pham); i forget is 20 or 21 Bendis's last?

On the 'comics on sale' section, there's the comics for December, then for January, then for December...

More Marvel coolness...
Many thanks for the preview art. It looks to me like Mighty Avengers #20 may be a turning point in an Armored Avengers life.
I'm very interested to see what happens.
