Edit Credits

I say all the time in the office that one thing I've learned about editors over the last 8 years or so is that we're really good at finding the problems in everyone else's books.

I'm no different and the thing that always brings me back to earth is flipping through the bundle of books we get each week from our dependable bundle distributor, Fenton Eng.

To me, the #1 absolute worst part of this job is flipping through my printed books because that's when i see all the mistakes I missed (like telling the colorist to color a night scene in ASM #562 when it's clearly referred to as "High Noon". Sigh. Sorry, Bob.)

Anyway with help from the Ancient Ones here in the Marvel offices, I was piecing together a list of everyone who has ever edited Amazing Spider-Man and here's what I came up with:

(In order...)
-Stan Lee

-Roy Thomas

-Len Wein (writer/editor)

-Marv Wolfman

-Gerry Conway

-Archie Goodwin

-Marv Wolfman again as writer/editor (Jim Shooter – consulting)

-Denny O’Neil

-Al Milgrom

-Tom DeFalco

-Danny Fingeroth

-Jim Owsley

-Jim Salicrup

-Danny Fingeroth

-Bob Budiansky

-Ralph Macchio

-Axel Alonso

-Stephen Wacker (Tom Brevoort - tells him what to do)

Pretty good list to be a part of. Certainly full of strong personalities if nothing else. I've met several of the names on here and have been around several others (though unfortunately not Archie Goodwin who everyone points to as one of the best ever).

Who's next? Could it be YOU! Why the next editor of Amazing Spider-Man might be reading this right now...though it's more likely he or she's working as an assistant editor in some other office here plotting my downfall. (I'm looking at you Daniel Ketcham!)

-Wacker
Let's just say plans are in motion.

The uptown theater does not work anymore.???
Apparently "Regal" bought the "Uptown Cinema".

There are several reasons why the Richland, WA USA theater was abused possibly.

There are several other theaters named that in other states, but ours has been abandoned and abused since 2000a.d..

The "uptown" part of the sign is no longer posted, it only reads cinema.

The "Uptown Deli" worker named "Dewayne" reported that the screen are still intact, but several people are "up in arms" or "unwary" as to what to do with it.

It was also reported as to have been the new "temple of doom".???

The address-1300 Jadwin Avenue, Richland, WA USA. The phone number 509-943-6671.

The problem, unknown and may be being used as some sort of "hate program" for those who are not "rich and famous".???

The city should have more knowledge, but here are two links.

Me? Next? Not likely. Let's talk in 2025 again, though.

Can't say I'm fond of DeFalco's writing, but he absolutely oversaw one of the best Spider-Man eras as editor, with all three titles doing gangbusters in terms of quality. (And one of the worst as EIC, but I'll let that slide.)

I was wondering...
Someone posted that there may be characters known as "Lullybye" and "Snickles" that connect to the more "DC" and "Batman" area of "Marvel" comics.???

Current issues.
The boat races are in Kennewick, WA USA this weekend. Beware, it it is bad weekend for both residents and the state due to over exuberant people who are "ego boxing" each other for a weekend in atheletic and barbaric assumption they need to bluff for blah.

Also, I had to wake up to my apartment complex changing hands possibly and the fact it may affect my privacy in the building being "shown by realtors"-as if sleep and privacy is already not disrupted enough- and the possible attempt at homelessness by outside predators again. FDIC and other's notified.

Have a safe and enjoyable weekend.
