Hulk poster by Bob Larkin

Here's another Hulk poster!

And ya know, I was 92.3% sure this was a Joe Jusko piece when I first looked at the photo. Being super-busy (no, not lazy...) and a bit of a dummy, I didn't look at the signature at the bottom of the poster initially and didn't go back to the poster itself when I chose this for the blog. So, while I was 92.3% sure it was a Jusko painting, that 7.7% bit was too much to ignore.

Thankfully, the man who delivered the answer to yesterday's Hulk poster mystery, Executive Editor Tom Brevoort, also schooled me regarding the artist behind this poster. Suffice to say, I was wrong and the totally awesome image we have before us was crafted by Mr. Bob Larkin, the ridiculously talented '70s cover artist. His images graced many a Marvel magazine back in the day, including a few issues of HULK.

Huzzah for learning!

That does look good! For a minute there, it almost looked like Modern Hulk! 0_0

hulk in secret invasion
i seriously waqnt to know what the hulk's role in secret invasion is going to be, because the hulk is really a HUGE threat to their plans...

Awesome Poster!
Which is why I have a copy proudly displayed on my door. I even have it as a nice, shiny trading card. The card says that this image weas a cover image for the Rampaging Hulk magazine, though it doesn't mention the issue number. Anyway, I think this is the definitive rendition of the Jade Giant's face. It's just that good.
